RapidFax Review
Introduction
RapidFAX is a subscription online faxing system for individuals and small businesses. You can send and receive faxes using email, a web browser interface, or fax directly from Microsoft Office 2003/2007 applications.
RapidFAX offers a single rate plan which allows you a total of 300 pages a month, inbound and outbound combined. Additional pages are charged at published low per-page rates. There is no setup fee with RapidFAX.
Faxes received by the RapidFAX system are converted into TIF or PDF files and either stored for retrieval via the web interface, or the files are attached to an email and sent to the email address you designated in your account settings menu.
When you sign up for RapidFAX, you have the choice of a standard phone number in your area code or a toll-free number. Additional fax numbers can be added at the same rate as your primary fax number.
RapidFAX offers a 30-day free trial period. You can cancel during that time-frame and no charges will be made to your credit card.
Unique Features
Unlike some online fax companies, you can specify any number of senders on your fax account. You configure their email addresses in your account settings portal. As long as they send from a linked email address, the fax will be sent.
There are storage fees for faxes left on RapidFAX servers longer than 30 days. Logging into the account portal regularly is recommended.
