Sending Faxes Via Email
SmartFax makes sending faxes through email simple, fast, and secure. To send a fax you basically type the recipient’s fax machine number followed by @smartfax.com in the TO field (e.g.: + area code + number + @smartfax.com). Attachments can also be applied and are included in the final fax message. The email is converted into a fax document and a confirmation email is sent once the fax is delivered.
SmartFax supports outbound faxes in the following file types: PDF, TIF, JPEG, GIF, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, HTML, Plain Text, Rich Text Format (RTF), Portable Network Graphic (PNG), and Access Snapshot (SNP). Inbound faxes can be in either a TIF or PDF format.
Faxes From Email
SmartFax has the option for customers to receive faxes through their email. When signing up for SmartFax, it is recommended to provide an email address as to where inbound faxes should be received. Notifications are sent when faxes arrive. This feature not only adds conformation but insures a good back system up for fax files.
